🔍 VOCABULARY WORDS

📌prescribe (verb) - (of a doctor) to say what medical treatment someone should have

Example:  I've been prescribed painkillers.

📌chip in (phrasal verb) - to give some money when several people are giving money to pay for something together
Example: They all chipped in $100 and bought their mother a trip to Greece.

📌harvest (noun) - the time of year when crops are cut and collected from the fields, or the activity of cutting and collecting them, or the crops that are cut and collected

Example: We had a good harvest this year.

🛠️ SENTENCE CONSTRUCTION

✖You said:  I spend time with my relatives and little boys of my cousin's sons.
✔Better say: I spent time with my relatives and my cousin’s little boys / cousin’s sons. //  I spent time with my relatives and nephews.

Note: Your cousin's sons are your first cousins once removed. However, it is more common to call them your nephews. This is because the term "niece" or "nephew" is often used to refer to any child of a relative who is close in age, regardless of their exact relationship.

✖You said: It is getting increased in Korea. People doesn't know exactly it's COVID-19.
✔Better say: COVID-19 cases are increasing in Korea. People are not sure if they have it. / Some people are unaware that they have it.

✖You said: The doctor give me the script.
✔Better say: The doctor prescribed me some medicine.

✖You said: People rarely dead.
✔Better say:  People rarely die from covid nowadays.

✖You said: I have ache in my chest. (grammatically correct)
✔Better say: I have chest pains. (more concise)
