🔍 VOCABULARY WORDS

📌marinade (noun) - a mixture, usually containing oil, wine, or vinegar and herbs and spices, that you pour over fish or meat before it is cooked, in order to add flavor to it or make it tender

Example: Pour the marinade over the beef and leave it for 24 hours.
📌doubling down (phrase or idiom) - to increase one's efforts or investment in something that has already been started

Example: Despite receiving negative feedback on their product, the company decided to double down on their initial design and invest more money into marketing it.

📌duct tape (noun) - this is a type of strong adhesive tape that is usually gray in color and commonly used in construction, repair, or to temporarily fix things

Example: I used duct tape to fix the hole in my backpack until I had time to properly mend it.

📌devour (verb) - to eat something quickly and hungrily, or to consume something in large quantities with great enthusiasm
