🔍 VOCABULARY WORDS

📌jinx (noun) - bad luck, or a person or thing that is believed to bring bad luck

Example: There must be a jinx on our team – four of our best players were injured yesterday.

📌jinx (verb) - to cause a person or group to experience bad luck

Example: I thought we would win, but I didn't say so – I didn't want to jinx it.

📌superstitions (houn) - a belief or way of behaving that is based on fear of the unknown and faith in magic or luck : a belief that certain events or things will bring good or bad luck

Examples:
It is a common superstition that a black cat crossing your path is bad luck.
According to superstition, if you walk under a ladder it brings you bad luck.
I don't believe in the old superstition that the number 13 is unlucky.

✔Better say: Customers failing to join the service could be an issue for our company.

✖You said: When finishing the wedding, the bride toss the bouquet to one of her friends. The person who got the bouquet, if she doesn’t get married in 3 months, she will be single for 3 years.
✔Better say: At the end of a wedding ceremony / After the wedding, the bride tosses the bouquet to one of her friends/ to a group of single women. Whoever catches the bouquet must be married in 3 months or else she will be single for 3 years.
