📌mess (something) up (phrasal verb) - to make a mistake or do something wrong

Example: We had a chance to win the game and we messed it up.

✖You said: Normally there is a part to explanation of new technique. But on sparring day, you do just sparring.
✔Better say: Normally there is time allotted to explain a new technique. But on sparring day, we only do sparring.

✖You said: I had a ache on whole body.
✔Better say: My whole body was aching / My body was aching all over.

✖You said: Current president doesn’t use the place where normally president is supposed to stay.
✔Better say: The current president doesn’t reside where presidents are supposed to stay / where past presidents stayed.

✖You said: Because of that situation, there was no enough policemen to put into the Itaewon even though everybody know the Itaewon will be crowded. If we just control the direction how people move, if they do just that, I don’t think people died that much. We can save more people.
