🔍 VOCABULARY WORDS

📌compensate (verb) - to pay someone money in exchange for work done, for something lost or damaged, or for some inconvenience

Example: Our company tries to keep salaries low, and they compensate employees more with bonuses.

📌confess (verb) - means to admit or acknowledge something, especially guilt or a wrongdoing, openly and honestly

Example: He confessed to his crime and accepted the punishment.

📌crisis (noun) - can be a big moment in someone's life when they have to make a big decision or change direction

Example: I was in a real crisis when I realized my job was making me miserable, but quitting and starting my own business ended up being the best decision I ever made.

📌patriarchal (adjective) - ruled or controlled by men

Example: The company's leadership was dominated by a patriarchal hierarchy, with very few women in top positions.

✔Better say: When I was staying in the UK, the British also did the same as Filipinos.

✔Better say: If you were rejected (by whoever you liked / who you confessed to) or if you’re single, you eat jajangmyeon which is black-colored noodles.
